Reasons behind telling white lies:
1-lying to hide something.
2-Giving false excuses.
3-lying to make someone feel good.
4-lying to hide bad news.

RépondreSupprimerthere are many more kinds of telling a lie, for exemple lying to kids,emergency lying and i think there are some people who feel good when they lie it's like a mind disease.
we should tell the truth when we have broblems specialy for the teenagers but it's better to tell a lie in case of solving problems between two friends or a mum and dad etc ...
in some situations for exemple if i'm sure my parents will reget my request i tell false excuses.

Lying to keep from hurting others: because sometimes the truth may hurt
There are also the self-serving lies and they're are used for personal gain or to avoid punishment.
I always prefer to tell the truth rather than lying because the truth will always come up no matter how hard we try to hide it, it will always come up and it's very relaxing when we don't have anything to hide.
I sometimes give false excuses but only when I feel that I'm in a big trabble and that there is no way out.
